D'arreu i d'enlloc, Lu Torralba neix a Offenbach l'any 1960. Des d'aleshores i com ella comenta,
la seva vida ha estat i és un transcurs de canvis: mai s'ha dedicat al mateix i ha anat fent -segons
bufava el vent- l'inevitable.
La seva obra és fruit de voltar pel món amb l'actitud d'impregnar-se de tot el que veu; viatjant per
l'Àsia aprèn dels mestres artesans que avui recorda amb gratitud i admiració, ven els seus
treballs a diversos mercats d'Europa i a Catalunya desenvolupa la seva creativitat en escoles,
editorials i altres camps diversos.
A Barcelona ha fundat el centre d'artesania tèxtil multiArt on actualment imparteix classes
d'estampació, organitza sessions de pintura essencial i es dedica a altres activitats relacionades
amb el món tèxtil. Avui és aquí i -com a ella li agrada dir- gràcies a ensenyar i compartir aprèn
molt i més.

Here today, there tomorrow, Lu Torralba was born in Offenbach in 1960. Since then, and as she
comments, her life has been and is a course of changes: she’s never done the same thing and
has gone on to do – whichever way the wind blew – the inevitable.
Her work is the fruit of having traveled the world wanting to impregnate herself with everything
she sees; traveling around Asia she learned from the master craftsmen who today she
remembers with gratitude and admiration, she sells her works in different European markets and
in Catalonia, she develops her creativity in schools, publishing companies and other diverse
fields.
In Barcelona she founded the multiArt textile art center where she presently teaches printing
classes, organizes essential painting sessions and dedicates her time to other activities related to
the textile world. Today she’s here and –as she likes to say- thanks to teaching and sharing she
learns a lot more.
